Aug 03, Colombo: Rumours are spreading in Sri Lanka over more and more possible crossovers to both the opposition and the government. Crossovers are happening both in and outside the parliament.
Reliable sources said that four United National Party (UNP) MPs were likely to crossover to the government while some government ministers and MPs are also said to change sides in the next few days.
Several UNP electoral organizers including former parliamentarian Olitha Premathirathna have already joined the government.
Ceylon Workers' Congress leader Minister Arumugam Thondaman and four Deputy Ministers of his party crossed over to the opposition yesterday.
